Well was that a brilliant show or what ? , even we have to admit that the main arena was awesome and the air show was an absolute legend, and as for the George sale, that will be remembered for a long time and we must thank all the dedicated George staff that gave their time for nothing to make the George tent the very best it’s ever been.
Some of you might be aware that Asda said that they might have a problem with “on your marks“ in the future. However, despite recent changes in ethics policy, after talks with the Ethics Team we have agreed that we can continue with On Your Marks.
On Your Marks 2014, this year’s August family fun day hosted by Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground for Asda staff and invited guests, raised a record £53,850 for Orchid, the charity that fights male cancer. And on 9 December a cheque for the grand total was handed over to the charity by David Walton, managing director of Bruntingthorpe, together with Nichola Moore from Sturgess Motor Group and Peter Wilson from JLG Fork Trucks, both of whom are event sponsors, and the hard-working On Your Marks organisers, Chris Goodwin and John Forde, together with event co-ordinator, Jonty Moore.

THOUSANDS of people enjoyed the fastest and biggest On Your Marks yet as the speed festival hit a thrilling new level of excitement.
Thunderous flypasts and hundreds of super cars took centre stage with 15,000 spectators from all across Britain lapping up the action.
Cheques totalling £21,000 have been handed to two charities by the organisers of the ASDA On-Your-Marks! spectacular held at Bruntingthorpe proving ground and airfield. Russell Brickett, founder of Leicestershire-based Wishes 4 Kids, and Muna Chauhan, Midlands regional fund raiser for SPARKS, which is carrying out research at Birmingham University into lymphoma in very young children, received the cheques from John Forde and Chris Goodwin from ASDA.
